Brenda Dykun: Director: Brenda has been teaching for over 30 years and had a way to bring out the best in all. Not only will she be teaching Ballet classes from 6 yrs and up, she will be teaching the Body Toning classes. To see the full bio of Brenda, please look in the About Us page.
Rebecca Campana: Instructor/Choreographer: Rebecca began her dance training in Mississauga at the age of 2 and was placed on a competitive team at the age of 7 with The Dance Exchange in Oakville. She had danced for them competitively for over 15 years. She has been an active teacher with the Brock Dance Team and has come to us with a creative flair, that just talking to her you can see her dance and create. You will find Rebecca teaching in our competitive program bringing her inspiring choreography, experience and care with working and mentoring her students. Rebecca’s choreography has won several awards, and her students have won numerous awards and scholarships.
Rena Panetta: Instructor/Choreographer. Rena comes to NDFS with an eagerness to work with children. She has experience with preschool children for Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical and Acro. Rena has devoted herself to dance and teaching, and has her Commercial Dance Certificate with George Brown College and is a certified Acro instructor thru Acrobatic Arts. Most recently, Rena has just acquired her certification with Alixa Flexibility- which will give our dancers and edge for flexibility and strength. You will find Rena with the recreational division as well as the Competitive, giving each student care, joy and the love of dance. Rena’s dancers have won several awards and scholarships for their strength and connection to the piece.
Samantha Rennie: Instructor/Choreographer: Samantha has been dancing since she was 6 years old, and was a competitive dancer since she was 11 year old. Samantha has been actively working in a variety of intensive camps such as Hollywood Summer dance Tour, and Entrepreneur, Dance/Conditioning Camps. Recently, Samantha has just graduated from George Brown College from their dance program. Samantha will be working with our recreational division as well as the competitive, she will be making sure each student can leap to new heights. Her dancers win several awards and scholarships, as she brings fresh current choreography to the stage.
Jennifer Robinson: Instructor/Choreographer:Jennifer’s love for dance started at the age of 3. She began her training in Hamilton and is trained in a variety of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical/ Contemporary, Tap, Acro and Musical Theatre. Her love for performing stems from her previous competitive dance training and professional stage performances throughout her dance career. She has completed her C.D.T.A. professional dance examinations with honours and has trained along side the National Ballet of Cuba, and at Florida’s Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts.
Jennifer has taught at a variety of dance studios around the GTA and has worked with both competitive and recreational dancers for the past 9 years. Her students have competed at numerous competitions/ events and have taken home multiple special awards & overall awards for choreography, performance, and emotion. Jennifer is the 2015 recipient of the Hamilton Reader’s Choice Award for Best Dance Teacher and enjoys sharing her love and passion for dance with her students.
Kim Franic: Instructor: Kim Franic began her dance career at the age of 4. By the age of 8, she was a competitive soloist and team dancer. She represented Canada at the world level, bringing home many awards and participating in guest appearances. Kim was also graded under the RDA in Tap & Jazz and Highland SDTA. It was during her experience as a Teacher’s Assistant in her teen years that Kim decided teaching dance was her passion. She pursued dance studies at York University, Ballet Jorgen, Randolf Academy as well as countless conventions and workshops. Kim’s well-rounded dance training consists of tap, jazz, musical theatre, baton, ballet, modern, and highland dance. In 1995, Kim returned to Niagara to bring her love of dance to her community –teaching recreational and competitive classes. She founded Niagara’s Twirling Maple Leafs and became a member of TU and NBTA. In recent years, Kim has volunteered her time to teach dance at local elementary schools, youth groups, as well as assisting with school musical productions. With Kim’s 26 yrs of teaching experience, she continues to enjoy inspiring today’s dancers.
Molly MacQueen: Student teacher: Molly has been dancing for NDFS for the past 5 years as a competitive dancer. She has won numerous awards and scholarships for various locations such as LA, for her beautiful dancing. Molly has passed all her ballet exams with honours is currently working towards her Intermediate Ballet exam with CDTA. She is a sweet and caring person, who loves to work with children and give them her beautiful magic of dance. Molly has been an assistant for several years, and is currently teaching under the direction of Brenda.
Ashley Dykun: Assistant to Brenda. Ashley is a very instrumental part to NDFS. From the beginning of picking a name to finding a location Ashley as been there. She pitches in everywhere to give her help, support and keen eye for detail. You will find Ashley in studio helping clean dances for recital or competitions, or in office to accept payment or answer questions. She is always at any function for NDFS to give support. I am very proud to have my daughter by my side.
Erin MacQueen: Modern Instructor. Erin comes to us as an accomplished dancer, teacher and choreographer. Her passion and love of dance has led to a career in the performing arts that has spanned over 30 years. At a young age, Erin began her career singing and dancing in a variety of live performances with Canadian Children’s performer Bob Schneider. For over 5 years, Erin was part of a select group of children that toured across Ontario in a live show called “Every Kids a Star”. They performed at such venues as Roy Thompson Hall, Leah Poslun’s Theatre, Ontario Place and may more. As as dancer, Erin has always had a focus on developing her technique. She trained and completed ballet exams through the Royal Academy of Dancing Syllabus. With her extensive background in dance and strong technique and auditioned for and was accepted into the York University’s Dance program. Erin received her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Dance as well as her Bachelor of Education. Erin promotes strong technique, confidence and dedication with a positive atmosphere to inspire her students to reach their full potential.
Caidyn Mann, Anna Porterfield, Ashley Campbell , Mia Piscitello, Ella MacQueen, Helene Lemmen Student Class Assistants: All of these amazing dancers have been here at NDFS for at least 4 years. Each girl has such care, and a very delicate side that each little dancer looks up to them as role models. They are all part of the NDFS Competitive dance team. I am very proud and lucky to have such amazing dancers dance for me, as well…they are wanting to share their love of dance with our little dancers!
Sunny Khan- Fitness Instructor. Sunny comes to NDFS with flair and passion for fitness, and is ready to push you to your goals for better health. She has her bachelors degree is molecular biology and genetics from McMaster university and a minor in human health and nutrition. She is a certified professional personal trainer across the board with canfitpro and ifbb. She has regular clients from Hamilton to Toronto, from security guards, hockey players to body builders and stay at home moms. Her expertise is in dance fitness, body power training, strength training, core fitness, cardio conditioning and power lifting. Sunny will be teaching Monday & Wednesday 9-10am strength training and Tuesday 9-10am High intensity interval training.
KRISTINA WOOLDRIDGE, Yoga instructor. Kristina comes to NDFS as a very passionate, patient and friendly Yoga instructor. She is a registered teacher thru Yoga Alliance and has her First Aid and CPR certification. Kristina will be a teaching Tuesday and Thursdays.
